Getting to know Stephanie Dixon

Hello, I'm Stephanie! Are you struggling to cope with life on life's terms? As an experienced counselor with a Master's degree in Counseling from the University of Georgia and over 18 years of experience, I am dedicated to helping individuals overcome their obstacles and achieve their goals. I have a deep understanding of the challenges people face in their daily lives. My counseling approach is rooted in empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude. I believe that everyone has the potential to live a fulfilling life, but sometimes we need support and guidance to overcome the obstacles that are holding us back. Throughout my career, I have worked with clients facing a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, career transitions, and more. I have experience working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and I am committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings. If you are looking for a counselor who is committed to helping you achieve your goals and live your best life, I invite you to reach out and schedule a consultation. Together, we can work towards a brighter future.

What should a new client know about working with you?

First and foremost, clients can expect to gain a better understanding of themselves and their circumstances. Through our conversations, clients will be able to gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, which can help them make positive changes in their lives. Clients can also expect to learn new coping skills and strategies for managing their emotions and stress. Depending on the client's goals, we may work on developing mindfulness techniques, communication skills, or other tools that can help them navigate their daily lives with more ease and confidence. Finally, clients can expect to feel supported and heard throughout our sessions. My goal is to help clients feel empowered and equipped to handle whatever challenges come their way.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Very kind and a great listener. I find myself just rambling about everything and always feel better after.
She just seemed understanding and had a good heart

Evelyn really connects with Ms. Dixon and feels seen.

I do not give 10s as anything can be improved
She has a warm feeling to her so she is very comfortable and easy to talk too. Only thing I would recommend is to have actual treatment plans instead of relying on the client to know exactly what is wrong.
I absolutely recommend her! I feel like I am in a safe space to be 99-100% myself during our sessions ( and the only other times I feel like that is during ‘me-time’ so, that says a lot). She lets me speak endlessly, which quite frankly I was taken aback at first, but then I learned to sit with discomfort of my problems and talk through them and with her by my side asking questions that would allow me to slow down and shift perspectives them until I found solutions. I love how she may not say much during parts of our sessions but when she does, it’s moving, powerful. I mean, she’s helped heal from decades worth of unsettling experiences, (and I do mean decades) from just a mere two-three sentences alone. I don’t feel like I’m being told what to do, I don’t feel bossed around or any sense of judgment, I don’t feel any sense of ridicule. I do feel like I’m learning how to navigate through my emotional and mental realm in my. I’m learning to find peace in chaos, I’m learning to appreciate that peace, which in turn, I’m finding joy. I feel like… I’m growing. Thank you deeply, Stephanie <3
