I understand that sometimes life can be challenging and can hinder personal growth, happiness, relationships, quality of life, professional success, and parenting, among other things. You may feel like you are spinning your wheels but not going anywhere. You might feel exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, sad, or irritated. You may be surprised to know that there are ways to cope with these feelings so you can grab the reins and get back on that horse! You want to create meaningful change but aren’t sure where to start. I believe that the catalyst for that change exists within each of us. There is no magical solution, and change takes work; however, YOU have the ability to make it happen. I believe in empowering and supporting clients to help them get from where they are to where they want to be. Using a strength-based approach, WE will focus on getting YOU on the path to healing and promoting well-being. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and have experience working with older adults, adults (teens 17+), veterans, active duty military and their families, and caregivers in the treatment of mental health and life transition issues, trauma, marital issues, deployment, military separation, reunification, divorce, pregnancy, work issues, parenting, and end-of-life issues (grief/placement). I am also a certified Animal Assisted Therapy practitioner and a big advocate for the power of healing that comes from animal companionship. As a military spouse, I have learned to overcome challenges of my own due to relocation, career change, separation, reunification, deployment, and parenting, just to name a few. If you found your way here, welcome! I look forward to helping you make molehills out of mountains!
