Stephanie Safos-Moriarty, LPC

Psychotherapist
VA
My name is Stephanie Safos-Moriarty, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor in Florida, Virginia, and Connecticut. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I offer counseling services for parents, individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, geriatric clients, and all populations, including LGBTQIA+ and MOGAI, with a caring, compassionate, and genuine approach. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, strength-based, person-centered, solution-focused, and eclectic approaches to meet each client’s individual needs. My warm and caring approach allows clients to feel safe as I walk beside them throughout their counseling journey. My first career as an Exceptional Student Educator fueled my passion for working with families. I realized my purpose was to become a licensed counselor to help those in need, which inspired me to start my second career. I work collaboratively with my clients to establish goals they want to focus on and provide tools to help achieve those goals. Our first session allows us to establish rapport and begin building a sense of safety and honesty for the counseling journey ahead.
