As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado and Idaho, I've dedicated 27 years to social work, with 14 of those years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, in 2007, and my BS in Psychology from Michigan State University in 1994. My experience spans working with adolescents, adults of all ages, and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, attachment disorders, trauma, and relationship issues. I've also gained significant expertise working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and within the children’s foster care system. In our sessions, you will find an accepting, non-judgmental, supportive, and respectful environment. I believe in a strengths-based, self-determined approach, firmly holding that you are the expert in your own life. My role is to serve as a guide, helping you define and achieve the counseling goals that matter most to you. I take an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating various therapeutic methods to provide individualized and customized treatment. I find the most success with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Committment Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, and Cognitive Restructuring. These methods are effective in uncovering and addressing the root causes of irrational beliefs and negative thought patterns. I am honored to be considered as an ally on your journey.
