What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients working with me can expect a collaborative and supportive process. I believe therapy should feel like a safe space where you can speak openly without judgment. In our first session, we’ll focus on understanding what matters most to you, your story, and what you hope to achieve, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. My style is compassionate and down-to-earth, but also structured enough to help you see progress. I use evidence-based approaches like CBT and trauma-informed care, but every plan is tailored to your unique needs. As founder of NY Wellness Counseling Services, I also lead a diverse team of professionals, so clients have access to different perspectives and specialties. My goal is to make sure you feel understood, supported, and empowered throughout your journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with getting to know you and what is important to you. In our first sessions, I’ll ask questions to understand your story, your challenges, and your strengths. From there, we will work together to create a plan that feels both realistic and meaningful. I draw on approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and person-centered therapy, but I always adapt my style to what works best for you. As therapy continues, I check in often to make sure our work is moving in the direction you want. Some clients prefer a more structured, goal-focused approach, while others value having a safe space to process and reflect — and both are welcome. At NY Wellness Counseling Services, my team and I are committed to making the process collaborative, supportive, and empowering, so you feel both heard and equipped to move forward.
