Getting to know Steve LeSieur

Hi there. I'm Steve. I specialize in relationships of all kinds, especially romantic/intimate/sexual and including ethical nonmonogamy (ENM). I believe living in the world today means the demands for your attention are often relentless, sometimes making you overwhelmed, stuck, or feeling like you've lost touch. Think of therapy as a place where you and I show up for YOU—for that very blessed being you get to be, this whole life. In turn, this helps all your relationships thrive, which again, helps you thrive too! We all have a natural drive to adapt, learn, and grow, and we do so in relationships—with ourselves, with others, with ideas and values, and with the world. You and I will listen closely—from where you are right now—to help reconnect you to your innate tendency to grow and change in desired ways. This may very well mean tolerating more friction and tension at first. It’s alright. You will get more comfortable with being uncomfortable. Over time, knowing how you feel, think, and act—right here and now—will help you make better choices, recharge your sense of well-being, and enliven your relationships. I am a fully Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in California, Florida, Oregon, and Massachusetts. I see clients online and in-person in the Boston area.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I see therapy as an active, growing connection of support—for you and all your relationships. Think of me as a compassionate and curious traveling companion for this leg of your journey. Together we will make some care-filled space, safe AND brave, to tend to what's going on. To start, we'll look at where you’ve been, where you’re at, and where you’re heading. Hopefully, you'll gain a deeper, more nuanced sense of what's going on moment-to-moment, for you and all those around you. Possibly you might also (1) notice what various supports are and aren't available, (2) become more flexible in your perspective, and/or gain clarity about what direction you're moving.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
