My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to explore how changing behaviors can improve your life situation. I also value talk therapy as a powerful way to achieve the results you deserve. My focus With many years of experience, I have worked with clients facing depression, anxiety, addiction and alcoholism, relationship challenges, and couples counseling. My communication style I am a straightforward therapist who will not sugarcoat or endorse unhealthy behaviors. I won't tell you what to do, but I will help you navigate the best course of action to live and function at your highest level. My journey to therapy Since 1991, when I began as a chemical dependency counselor, I have enjoyed guiding others on their wellness journeys. I earned my MEd in Community Counseling from Ohio University and obtained my LPCC in 2007 to broaden my expertise beyond addiction. My first session with you Our initial session will focus on you talking while I listen and ask thoughtful questions to understand where you are, where you want to go, and how I can support you in reaching your goals.
