Getting to know Steven Schwartz

Hi there, I'm Steven. Do you feel that life has become hard to handle? Are you struggling to keep up with your relationships, work, health, or the things that used to make you feel productive? When was the last time you were kind to yourself? I help people manage distressing mood changes and unexpected stresses. Together, we can identify what's not working and get you back to balance. We'll use a holistic approach, addressing the needs of your mind, body, and spirit. We will work to uncover the "healthy" you that has been stymied by the tough circumstances you find yourself in. Let's do this together. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions, I'll meet you with compassion and evidence-based techniques so you can overcome your challenges. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Yeshiva University, which has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support you effectively on your journey to wellness.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Expect to be met with compassion while dealing with the challenges you find yourself in. We will chart a clear goal oriented direction together, where you will be able to see how our interventions are helping you grow. I will give you a non judgmental open ear, to allow you to not only vent your feelings , but help you see that you posses the inner strength to overcome your obstacles.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
