I firmly believe that families can thrive when they are provided with opportunities for support and growth. At Kinnection, we specialize in helping children and teens navigate challenges such as trauma, emotional regulation, and life stressors. Young people are dealing with a lot. We find that EMDR, mindfulness, DBT, and attachment-based therapy work the best. What sets us apart is our holistic approach, working with the child's entire ecosystem, especially busy parents who wish to stay engaged in their child's well-being. To support the entire family, our practice also offers coaching for parents. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of California, Los Angeles, which informs my commitment to evidence-based, compassionate care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

As a relationship-focused therapist, I am dedicated to affirming the identities and experiences of LGBTQI, POC, and clients with other unique identities who may not feel safe in traditional therapy spaces. My practice is grounded in social justice principles and the understanding of intersectionality, ensuring that every individual feels seen, heard, and valued. I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where clients can explore their relationships and personal growth with compassion.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I value the parent-child relationship as one of the most significant predictors of favorable health outcomes. This belief drives my focus on ensuring the entire family is supported. With formal training in various therapeutic techniques, I bring a comprehensive approach to my practice. My diverse experience across various settings, including schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, DCFS, and residential programs for teens, gives me a unique perspective on family dynamics and care.
