Hi there, I'm Susan! My name is Susan Burns, LCSW, and I have been in the mental health industry for over 24 years. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from California State University, Long Beach. I have worked with individuals ranging from mild to moderate behavioral health functioning to severely impaired functioning. I am a caring and respectful clinician who has positively impacted and healed many lives. I look forward to patiently guiding you through your journey of self-discovery and self-awareness. My approach I approach psychotherapy with sensitivity and an open mind. My top modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Coaching, Culturally Sensitive, Strength-Based, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy. My demeanor is warm, friendly, and welcoming. My journey to therapy I have had extensive training over 24+ years with many modalities, hands-on and online training. I was drawn to therapy because I knew I could impact those I work with. I have gone through many personal experiences and can draw upon them to connect with clients and create a safe therapeutic environment. My goals for you Therapeutic goals are mutually established.
