Hi there, I'm Susan! I'm Susan Faitos, a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT) working with clients in California via telehealth. I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of San Francisco. My primary focus is working with individuals seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, grief, women’s issues, and chronic illness/pain challenges. I am also experienced in relationship and family issues, and I am sex-positive, sexual orientation, and kink friendly. My approach I tailor my approach to each client based on their needs. I most frequently use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral and Narrative Therapies. I like to start by assessing needs and goals for therapy, making sure my clients have the tools they need to function healthily, and then charting our course and journey forward together. My focus My style is well-suited for individual adults who are experiencing life transitions and/or challenges coping with their current situations. My communication style Clients find me warm, caring, and approachable. My goal is for my clients to feel accepted and comfortable with me, knowing that I listen without judgment. My first session with you In our first session, we will take some time to get to know each other and discuss your interest in therapy and what you hope to get out of our work together. I firmly believe that clients should "shop" for the therapist that best suits them, so the choice to continue is always up to each individual client.
