Getting to know Susan Lohr
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who completed my master's degree in clinical psychology at Loyola University Maryland. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients through individual therapy, from young adulthood through older adulthood. I have worked with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, stress, life transitions and adjustments, spirituality, and more. I tend to allow the client to direct the session to what is most important to address at that moment, using person-centered techniques.
I also utilize various therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), coping and stress management techniques, mindfulness skills, motivational interviewing, and positive psychology.
I enjoy building connections with clients to create a warm, trusting, and safe environment where they can feel comfortable discussing difficult matters. I strive to help others enhance their abilities to make positive emotional and cognitive changes to achieve greater fulfillment and happiness in their lives.
