Hello, I'm Susan. With over twenty years of experience as a licensed Clinical Therapist, I've had the privilege of helping many individuals, couples, and families navigate their mental health journeys. I graduated from Ohio University in 1996 with a major in psychology and went on to earn my Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Case Western Reserve University in 1998. Throughout my career, I've gained clinical experience in various settings, including homes, schools, medical facilities, and outpatient services. This diverse background has equipped me to handle a wide range of issues and provide comprehensive care to my clients.
I specialize in working with adults aged 18 and older, addressing concerns such as anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, family relationships, life transitions, military and veteran support, OCD, perinatal support (including pregnancy, prenatal, and postpartum), and stress. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth services, making it convenient for clients to access therapy from the comfort of their own homes.
My approach to therapy is casual yet direct, and I am a spirited advocate for my clients. I believe in creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can feel heard and understood. Whether you're dealing with a challenging life transition, managing a mental health condition, or seeking to improve your relationships, I am here to help you navigate these challenges and work towards a healthier, more fulfilling life.
On a personal note, I have been married for over twenty years and have two young adult children. My family life has taught me the importance of resilience, empathy, and the power of supportive relationships, values that I bring into my therapeutic practice.
