Getting to know Susie Lo

Hi there, I'm Susie! I promote healing through cross modalities: mind, body, and soul connection. My goal is to help you reach your fullest potential. While each client has their own goals, my main one is to help you feel better than when you first started therapy. My approach Through a culturally informed lens and various evidence-based practices, I want to help you live your best, "good enough life." My therapeutic specialties include Attachment, strength-based, EMDR, DBT, and the "bookends of life" – ante and postpartum, early childhood to grief and loss. I support you through the three main constants in life: birth, change, and death. My focus I have extensive experience working with individuals of various ages, stages, cultural backgrounds, and life experiences. My communication style I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space so you feel heard and validated. I welcome your feedback; this helps me be a better therapist for you. My journey to therapy I earned my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. I was drawn to helping professions early on, starting as an educator working with children. Wanting to support the whole family, I began my therapy career. As a therapist and supervisor for early childhood therapists (Reflective Practice Facilitator II), I have found the best profession to use my clinical skills in helping individuals and families. My goals for you I aim to help you develop your ability to observe adaptive and maladaptive thoughts and behaviors so you can reflect on and achieve your therapeutic goals. Through reflective practice, you will gain insight to make the best decisions for yourself. "One day you will tell your story of how you overcame what you went through, and it will be someone else's survival guide." – Brené Brown
