What should a new client know about working with you?

Therapy with me is collaborative, compassionate, and active. I believe it is important to acknowledge and validate what you are experiencing while also helping you develop concrete strategies for moving forward. We will work together to identify the patterns that may be keeping you stuck and build practical DBT and CBT coping skills for managing emotions, reducing anxiety and depression, responding to stress, and improving your relationships. My goal is not simply to help you feel better in the moment, but to help you develop skills you can continue using outside of therapy.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work begins by understanding what brings you to therapy, the challenges you are experiencing, and what you would like to change. Together, we identify your treatment goals and develop an individualized approach based on your needs. Depending on your concerns, treatment may incorporate DBT skills, CBT, trauma-focused treatment, ART, mindfulness, emotional regulation strategies, and communication skills. As therapy progresses, we will evaluate what is working, address barriers, and continue building the skills and insight needed to create lasting change. Whether you are looking for anxiety treatment, depression therapy, trauma or PTSD treatment, DBT therapy, help with emotional regulation, or support navigating difficult relationships and life challenges, I am committed to helping you move toward greater emotional stability, confidence, and well-being.
