Suzanne Iverson, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Suzanne! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges and recognize their own strengths. I provide a supportive space using empathy and active listening for clients to gain insight, build effective coping skills, and work towards achieving personal goals. My focus I support individuals who may struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, grief and loss, or difficult life transitions. Together, we can explore the impact of these experiences, strengthen coping skills, and develop strategies to help you feel more confident and in control moving forward. My approach My approach is through compassion, collaboration, without judgment, recognizing that each person’s experiences and needs are unique. I will help you identify strengths, obstacles, and develop practical strategies that support lasting change. My communication style My communication is warm, conversational, straightforward, and collaborative. You can expect someone who is actively listening while providing thoughtful feedback, asking meaningful questions, and helping you approach situations with different perspectives. My goal is for our conversations to feel comfortable, as well as productive. My journey to mental healthcare I became a therapist because I have always wanted to genuinely help people, in a way that would significantly improve their life. My clinical experience comes from crisis work, where I learned the importance of creating a sense of safety, remaining calm and focused during difficult interactions, and meeting people where they are. My goals for you We’ll start with figuring out what you want to work on, and then we will identify reoccurring patterns that may be preventing change. From there, we’ll set realistic goals and develop practical steps to help you make progress and create lasting change.
