I believe we all possess unique strengths that can help us overcome obstacles and reach newfound potentials. Often, our strengths end up buried or bruised by the complexities of life, and we could use some help. "Why do I keep feeling this way?" "What am I feeling?" "Who am I?" "Is this normal?" "Why does this keep happening?" These are some common questions that bring people to seek therapy. I see these questions as beacons of light. Together, in therapy, we can take this light and learn to better navigate the dark and twisted hallways of anxiety, trauma, shame, depression, and more. I hold a Master's in Social Work from the University of North Carolina and have 10 years of diverse clinical experience. My focus is to help us identify your unique needs, goals, tools, and resources that will work best for you. I center my approach around evidence-based practices including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. I am trained in EMDR to help rebuild a sense of safety, trust, self-worth, and empowerment in cases where these have been damaged by trauma or senses of threat. My approach is collaborative and transparent. While I bring my clinical expertise, you bring your entire lifetime of experiences. We steer this ship together! You may bring tears, laughter, cursing, or pictures of your cat-whatever arises and helps make your point. We often end with "next small steps" or "questions to consider."

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
