Sweeta Khosrawi, LPCC

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I am Sweeta! My name is Sweeta Khosrawi, and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) based in Lathrop, California, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Saybrook University. I work with adolescents, teens, preteens, adults, and older adults. I am certified in EMDR and also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help my clients make progress and start feeling better. My approach to therapy varies based on the needs of each client I work with. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy, as these modalities help me and the client build a shared understanding of their reality and allow us to work together to chart a path forward. I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for teens, preteens, adolescents, and young adults who may be dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, stress, and mood disorders. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and build skills that allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style is calm, accommodating, and personable. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. My ability to speak in different languages can also be useful for my clients. My journey to becoming a therapist began with a strong desire to help people. Whether as a peer counselor in school, volunteering in my community, or being an educator, I have always naturally been drawn to supporting others through difficult times. I enjoy seeing individuals become the best versions of themselves.
