Getting to know Sydney Ryan

My approach to counseling is to create a collaborative and safe environment that fosters a space to work through challenges, whatever they may be, to both heal and grow from. I view clients holistically and prioritize exploring all facets of a client’s life to ensure a deep understanding of their experience and to help clients create a stronger connection between mind, body, and spirit. I incorporate a variety of modalities, including ACT, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based interventions. I hold a B.A. in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and an M.Ed. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from DePaul University. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. I have experience working with a diverse range of clients from different cultural backgrounds, ages, and issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, stress, relationship issues, and life transitions.
