I am currently a Licensed Associate Counselor and am working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I obtained both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Counseling from the College of New Jersey (formerly known as Trenton State). My first counseling experience involved working with children and adults who have experienced various forms of trauma. Since then, I have developed a passion for aiding clients in healing the wounds of their pasts.
My therapy style focuses heavily on trust and relationship building. I believe it is my duty to earn each client's trust to then strengthen the client-counselor relationship.
When I am not working, I love to have fun and laugh with my friends and family.

She was a good listener, empathetic, realistic, good communicator. I felt listened and felt a great relief after the visit. She helped identify what I need to work on and set goals. I will definitely recommend this provider to someone who feels overwhelmed and need assistance to navigate through difficult times.

Taihra is an absolute gem. I was extremely nervous about beginning talk therapy but she made me feel super comfortable. She acknowledged my feelings and for the first time I felt like I was heard. After the first appointment I finished feeling a happiness I haven’t had in a long time. If you are on the fence of whether or not to go with her, here is your push! Just do it, she’s amazing!!!
