So what makes me different from all of the other therapists whose profiles you’ve been reading? I believe that YOU are the expert when it comes to helping YOU. My role in our counseling relationship is to create a safe and inviting space where you can exhale, then together we can address your concerns, discuss your goals, and explore your story. My approach As we build our alliance, you will learn to use your strengths to guide you towards personal growth, deeper self-understanding, and peace of mind. In addition to using a variety of evidence-based, interactive, therapeutic methods, I also equip you with coping strategies and mindfulness tools to help manage daily stressors. My focus Whether the help you desire is for yourself, your relationship, or your family, I’m ready to support and assist through evidence-based, interactive, effective methods. My communication style I provide a safe and inviting, non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable being vulnerable to share and participate in their healing. My journey to mental healthcare I began my career as a special education teacher, teaching students with educational, emotional, and behavioral challenges. I became more interested and intrigued by the emotional and behavioral aspects of assisting students, and transitioned my career from teaching to counseling. My goals for you I encourage clients to use their strengths and self-awareness to guide them towards personal growth and deeper self-understanding. My first session with you Once we get past the legal informed consent portion, our time together is spent building rapport, understanding the client's purpose in seeking counseling, identifying goals, and answering any questions that they may have.
