Tammy Harmon-Rodriguez, LPCC-S, LSW I am Tammy, a professional clinical counselor licensed in Ohio with over 20 years of experience working in the mental health and addictions field. I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University. About a year ago, I started my private practice, Hearts To Minds, fulfilling a long-held dream to inspire others and create a safe space for those ready to embark on a positive journey. I enjoy helping people who are motivated to help themselves and recognize their worth. I became a counselor for many reasons, one of which was the profound early loss of my mother. Through that experience, I learned that anything is possible and that perseverance and hope go a long way. I have three beautiful children who have witnessed my dedication as I work tirelessly to help others reach their true potential, just as I have. I had to dig deep and learn to love myself. I have worked with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, gender identity, addictions, family systems, bipolar disorder, psychosis, crisis, career challenges, OCD, and ADHD. I hold a special place in my heart for those who have experienced trauma, addiction, and gender-related issues. My therapy style is warm, humorous, gentle, kind, and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, avoiding stigmatizing labels and focusing on getting to the core of the issue. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapies while teaching basic DBT skills. I obtained Trauma-Focused CBT and Motivational Interviewing training through the State of Ohio. I began my career as a mental health social worker in 2002, working with dually diagnosed adults and children. This experience inspired my specialization in working with dually diagnosed clients and family systems using evidence-based and cognitive approaches.

Except to be canceled and/or rescheduled multiple times. I saw this provider twice and was rescheduled (sometimes within minutes of my appointment) at least 5 times. Once I decided I was done getting canceled on last minute and began to look for a new provider she charged ME a late fee of $85! I disputed it with the billing team who sent her all the messages between them and I then she proceeded to message me directly rude inappropriate messages!! I can’t believe I was having a hard time so I sought out a therapist only to go through this. How can a “professional” treat a person going through a hard time like this!? I would not recommend her.
