Psychotherapist
CT
First, thank you for the opportunity to work with you! I have over 10 years of experience in the counseling field and hold a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from Saint Joseph’s College. Your overall well-being is an important factor in having a meaningful and successful life. Having someone you can talk with and who understands your struggles should be important to you. Life has its challenges that often cause feelings of confusion, hopelessness, and a great amount of stress. We may feel like we don’t have the ability to focus, problem-solve, and make the best choices based on how we think and feel in the moment. This can lead to symptoms of depression, anxiety, sadness, and loneliness. Over the years, I have successfully helped others with depression, anxiety, family problems, low self-esteem, trauma, and other mental health disorders by providing a safe, nonjudgmental environment. I use a narrative approach, allowing clients to re-write their own stories. I also take a solution-focused approach to help accomplish therapeutic goals. Collaboratively, we will work together as I provide a safe, trusting, confidential, and therapeutic environment, allowing you to be the expert of your life and the captain of your ship while I ride as your passenger, helping you reach your full potential. Thank you for taking your first step in changing your life by seeking assistance toward making change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Just know that therapy can be of great source of support to you. I can provide a caring supportive relationship, where I will teach you coping strategies to help you deal with your struggles and not fall back into them in the future; but moving into a space where you have the power and control to change how you think, feel, and behave that will provide you with long term solutions.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Over the years I have successfully helped clients with depression, anxiety, family problems, anger issues, low self-esteem, trauma, vocational counseling, and other mental health disorders by providing a safe, non-judgmental environment. Using integrated evidenced based modalities where the clients have experienced positive relief and change.
