Tara Griffith, LCSW

Psychotherapist
FL
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work from Florida State University. I provide adoption-competent therapy to all members of the adoption constellation, including adoptees, birth or first parents, adoptive parents, and other family members impacted by adoption trauma. I also work with individuals and couples who have experienced infertility and are contemplating adoption, as well as clients facing challenges related to maternal and paternal mental health. My approach We will build on your strengths and identify tools and techniques to help you practice mindfulness and become more aware of the connection between your mind and body. I do not rely on a single treatment method because I believe each client is unique and requires a personalized approach. I often incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and motivational interviewing, all within a strengths-based framework. My focus I work with children and adults aged 7 to 99. My ideal clients include adoptees, birth/first parents, adoptive parents, siblings of adoptees, individuals and couples who have experienced infertility and are considering adoption, and those dealing with maternal or paternal mental health difficulties. Together, we will work to reduce anxiety, depression, guilt, shame, or self-identity struggles affecting your life, including school, family and friend relationships, employment, and overall well-being. My communication style My goal is to ensure you feel seen, heard, and comfortable as we get to know each other. Clients describe me as attentive, warm, direct, funny, and motivating. I spend our sessions learning about you—where you come from, what motivates you, what brings you hope and joy—and how we can take the next steps on your healing journey.
