Getting to know Taryn Witkowski

Hi there, I'm Taryn! Since the age of 14, I have been passionate about the behavioral health field. My education, including a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and my experience in social work have only confirmed and nurtured that passion. I have over a decade of experience working with children and adolescents experiencing mental and behavioral health struggles, as well as their families. I have continually gravitated towards youth at risk or with a history of placement in group homes, inpatient facilities, special education programs, hospitals, and detention facilities. Much of my work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with art, play, and mindfulness incorporated. As a therapist, I strive to create a casual and comfortable environment. I'd like to think of my approach as talking to a trusted friend with a professional edge. Therapy should be a fun and positive experience for the client and their family! I know it takes courage to open up to someone new about uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, and I am happy to be a listening ear and guide for my clients.
