Getting to know Taylor Arnett

If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck in patterns that are hard to understand, or wanting a clearer sense of yourself or your child, therapy can be a place to slow down and explore what's happening with curiosity rather than judgment. I offer a collaborative, client-led approach where we work together to make sense of experiences and support meaningful, lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with children (ages 3+), teens, and adults, with a focus on ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relational stressors. I enjoy supporting neurodivergent clients, especially those with ADHD, in better understanding how their brain works so they can navigate daily life with more clarity, self-compassion, and confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is person-centered, relational, and integrative, grounded in the belief that people grow and heal best when they feel safe, understood, and free from judgment. In our work together, I'll help you notice patterns, build insight, and develop tools that fit your life-rather than pushing toward a fixed idea of what change "should" look like. With children, I use Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), offering a space where they can express themselves and work through experiences in developmentally natural ways. I also work with caregivers using Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), helping them feel more connected, confident, and supported in their child's growth. I draw from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and DBT, integrating these approaches in ways that match each client's needs and developmental stage. With children, this work is often play-based; with teens and adults, it is more talk-based and experiential. Sessions are collaborative and paced to allow space for reflection, insight, and practical tools as needed.
