Getting to know Taylor Ray

Hi, I’m Taylor—I'm a licensed mental health counseloretc who believes that therapy should feel like a safe, judgment-free space to explore, grow, and heal at your own pace. I work best with individuals who are ready to better understand themselves and create lasting change. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, or life transitions that leave them feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from who they truly are. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I’ll challenge you gently, hold space for the hard stuff, and help you build insight and skills that actually feel useful in real life—not just in the therapy room. Whether you’re new to therapy or returning to it with fresh goals, I’m here to support you in showing up for yourself. No need to have it all figured out—we can start where you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together, you can expect a space where you won’t feel rushed, judged, or like you need to perform. We’ll start by getting to know what’s going on beneath the surface—patterns, emotions, and past experiences that may be influencing how you feel or react today. Sessions with me aren’t about quick fixes or clichés. I focus on helping you build real insight, self-compassion, and practical tools that you can carry with you outside of therapy. I’ll be honest with you, supportive when things feel tough, and curious about how we can help you move forward in a way that feels true to you. This is a collaborative process—I'm not here to tell you who to be, but to help you better understand who you already are and what you need to feel more aligned and at ease in your life. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, relationships, identity, or just feeling stuck—I’m here to walk alongside you as you sort through it.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Beginning therapy can feel like a big step, and I do my best to make the process feel as smooth and welcoming as possible. We’ll start with a free phone call where i'll introduce myself and answer any questions that you may have. We will then confirm a time for a consultation where we will take time to explore what’s bringing you in, go over your history, and start identifying your goals for therapy. There’s no need to have it all figured out—this is your space to show up as you are. From there, we’ll meet regularly (usually weekly) to dive deeper into your patterns, emotions, and experiences, all at a pace that feels manageable and supportive for you. My priority is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to do meaningful work—without judgment, pressure, or pretenses.
