Getting to know Tedi Denee Newman

"No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it's not the same river and he's not the same man." – Heraclitus. I love that quote because it reminds me that change is inevitable. I am a Grief and Loss Educator and Counselor specializing in healing loss stemming from broken dreams, broken hearts, and broken relationships. I believe that YOU are the expert in your life, and my job is to come alongside you in discovering your inner strength to find peace and meaning in a world that can be painful and sometimes doesn't make sense. My name is Tedi Newman, and I'm from a small town in Northeast Tennessee. I was able to travel the world with corporate America before discovering a second career in counseling in my early 40s. Going to graduate school with three kids was challenging and exciting at the same time, teaching me how to be resourceful and resilient. I earned my Master's in Counseling from East Tennessee State University. Since then, I have worked with grief and trauma, domestic violence, foster care, school counseling, individual and couples counseling, military families, and now, private practice. I would be honored to hold your story for our time together.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
