Hello, my name is Tekoa. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor specializing in Addiction Therapy and all that comes along with it. Has drug or alcohol use taken a toll on your life, impacting your livelihood, family, or job? Can't find your way out? Is desperation the norm? Let me help. Allow me to share in your dreams of sobriety, recovery, and wholeness. Let's walk step by step through this maze-it will be safe with me as you open up and begin your journey. Together, we'll work to build from low self-worth, shame, guilt, unforgiveness, denial, lies, pain, and loss. I am a straightforward type of therapist, with no tiptoeing around the issues and no blaming others-solution-focused. We'll focus on how you got here and the plan for getting out, paired with the understanding that you are responsible for your life choices and your life changes. You can do this; let's do it together. I hold a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Governors State University, which enriches my approach to supporting individuals and families through addiction and recovery.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Overall you can expect honesty bare-bone truth and self-reflection to be prominent as a takeaway from our sessions. Expect us to spend the time together focusing and working on what matters to you. If that's what you're looking for and ready to get working, then you've come to the right place. I don't think we have any more time to waste beating around the bush when it comes to getting at the root of the issues that have been plaguing you for far too long.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
