Tenya Newman, LCSW

Tenya Newman, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi, my name is Tenya. Congratulations on taking the first step toward becoming your best self. The journey toward mental health isn't always easy, but I believe that if a client and therapist are a good fit, the relationship created can make difficult situations easier. I have a long history of working with the veteran population and children with severe emotional problems. My focus has been on dealing with trauma, relationships, depression, and anxiety issues that impact your ability to function in day-to-day life. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles, which has equipped me with the skills to support you effectively. If you are struggling to cope with life stressors, we will use talk therapy while I keep in mind that you are a full, complex person. I will always come to each session with compassion, expertise, and my fully present mind. I look forward to working with you soon.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
