Teresa Robles, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
My name is Teresa Robles, and I am a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Master's in Social Work from California State University Long Beach. I work with teens and adults, specializing in trauma-informed care. While I provide supportive listening, real change comes from the active work you do both in and out of therapy sessions. My approach As a trauma-informed therapist, my approach is tailored to each client's needs, with the main goal of creating a safe and supportive environment where healing can take place. I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, but I also find power in art and play therapy interventions, as well as strength-based approaches. My focus Most of my work has been with individuals experiencing negative consequences such as anxiety, depression, and difficulty sleeping after exposure to dangerous or frightening experiences. I also support those navigating various life stressors, transitions, grief, and loss. My communication style I speak in a calm tone and listen closely, genuinely trying to relate to others. I provide respect and strive to create a judgment-free space where clients feel safe and comfortable sharing their experiences, thoughts, and feelings. My journey to mental healthcare I always knew I wanted to be in a helping profession and initially thought I would become a police officer. However, while working for an Unaccompanied Minors and Refugee program, I realized that becoming a therapist was the right path for me. There, I worked closely with children and teens who immigrated to the United States, many having experienced violence in their home countries and additional trauma during immigration. This inspired me to pursue my Master's Degree and licensure so I could help others heal. My goals for you I work collaboratively with my clients to identify what they want to achieve during our time together. I also li
