IMPORTANT: Thriveworks cannot provide services to clients with Medicaid coverage. If you have Medicaid, please contact your plan directly to find an in-network provider. For all other insurance plans, Thriveworks will verify your benefits after you book through Zocdoc. If verification isn't completed before your visit, you'll be charged our self-pay rate of $200 for that session. AFTER YOU BOOK: Complete these steps to avoid cancellation or being switched to self-pay. 1. Check your email for instructions to set up your Thriveworks account. Within your Thriveworks’ account, sign consent forms and add a valid credit card, which will be automatically charged for copays, fees, post-insurance balances, and self-pay amounts. 2. If using insurance, upload clear photos of the front and back of your insurance card. 3. Expect a confirmation call from our team to verify your information and answer questions. CANCELLATION POLICY: Provide 48 hours advance notice to avoid the $135 late cancellation fee. I'm Terri Tyson, a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) in the state of Illinois with 18 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges with resilience and faith. My work is guided by compassion, curiosity, and the belief that healing begins when we feel seen and understood. In addition to counseling, I serve as a hospital chaplain, walking with people through crisis, loss, and transformation. These experiences deepen my understanding of how purpose and hope can coexist even in difficult seasons of life. I hold a Master of Science degree in Education with a concentration in Community Counseling from the University of Dayton. I also hold a Master of Divinity degree in Pastoral Counseling from United Theological Seminary. My approach is to draw on evidence-based practices and spiritual insight to promote self-discovery, and personal growth. Together, we’ll explore how to walk this journey at your pace, building confidence and clarity along the way.
