Are you feeling disconnected from yourself after a traumatic experience in ways that are hard to explain? Sometimes bad things happen to good people. According to statistics, 70% of adults experience at least one traumatic event in their lifetime. You are not alone, and what happened to you was not your fault. My name is Thao (pronounced Tao), but you can call me Judy, and I am here to help. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, bilingual in Vietnamese, and familiar with Asian American culture. I earned my Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University and my Bachelor's degree from the University of California, Riverside. I believe fate has led you to this page, and I commend you for taking the first step to explore your options in seeking support. Trying something new is not easy-you can be scared, nervous, brave, and courageous all at the same time. In my work with clients, I have learned that vulnerability is the root of authentic connection. My hope is to create a safe space where you can embrace vulnerability, share and rewrite your story, reclaim control of your life, and begin your healing journey. Though therapy is not one size fits all, I truly hope you will give me the opportunity to get to know you and see if I could be the right person to support you. It would be an honor to walk this journey with you and help you begin writing your next chapter. I hope to connect soon when you are ready to take a leap of faith in nurturing change. You got this!
