Getting to know Theresa Soltzberg

I'm Theresa Soltzberg, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with a Master's in Counseling from National University and additional graduate training from John F. Kennedy University. I am a humanistic and holistic therapist, working with adult couples and individuals on issues including complex relational trauma, life transitions, anxiety, and relationship challenges. My approach I am a humanistic, client-focused therapist trained in Internal Family Systems Therapy (level 2), holistic Expressive Arts therapy (somatic, Jungian, and Transpersonal), as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and couples modalities. My focus I typically work with adult clients experiencing relationship challenges, life transitions, and career or personal changes. My communication style My communication style is warm, welcoming, and supportive. I take the time to get to know you as a client, building trust while following your lead and respectfully challenging you when needed. My journey to therapy I chose therapy as a second career after more than two decades in business and years of working through my own life challenges. This work called to me because I wanted to help and support others as they face their personal challenges, and I continue to learn and grow in this work every day. My goals for you During our first meeting, we will discuss what's most important to you and prioritize your goals, checking in periodically as we work together. Ongoing communication supports your success and progress. My first session with you Our first session will give you a chance to get to know me, share what matters most to you, discuss how you like to communicate, and set expectations for therapy.
