Getting to know Thletha Yates

Hello. My name is Thletha Yates. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and Clinical Supervisor. I offer psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, youth, young adults, and older adults—serving clients aged 13 through centenarians. As a psychotherapist, I use a range of modalities to assist with managing mental health and wellness in a healthy way. I am skilled and experienced in helping with emotional challenges and some complex psychiatric disorders. In therapy, my intention is always to ensure that each individual feels safe and supported while gaining deeper insight into their emotions, including what brings them joy, anxiety, anger, depression, and more. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling from Mercer University. I have more than 10 years of experience in professional counseling services, including private practice, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, residential care, substance abuse recovery, and community services. My specialties include working with clients facing relationship problems, anxiety, depression, anger management, grief, impulsiveness, complex trauma, and controlling challenging behaviors. I have helped many individuals, couples, and families from diverse populations with anger issues, interpersonal challenges, low self-worth, family conflicts, relationship problems, adjustment difficulties, complex grief, and trauma.
