Psychotherapist

If you are ready to learn how to heal your heart and mind and take control of your life, you have come to the right place. You are the expert on yourself and your situation, and when you are ready, I'll be here to provide a safe space, support, and guidance to help you reach your goals. My approach I am pragmatic and will use whichever approaches work best for you. The approaches I use most often are client-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and mindfulness. Together, we will identify the concerns you are facing and quickly move towards finding solutions and putting them into practice. I help you find and challenge the automatic negative thoughts that may be holding you back or leading to negative emotions and behaviors. My goal is to provide you with the skills, build your strengths, and help you get to the point where you no longer need therapy. My focus Seeking help can be stressful, and sometimes even scary. You CAN handle this. I'm here to help. I work with kids, teens, adults, and families to manage big feelings, improve family connection, process traumas, learn coping skills, and parenting skills. I'll help you create a plan using your strengths to reach your goals. My communication style I am here to listen so that you can truly be heard and understood. I am here to be supportive and to help you reflect on your experiences. I will be a calm presence even when we are working through tough things. I will challenge the thoughts that lead to upset. I won't accept "I can't" and will help you find ways YOU CAN. My journey to mental healthcare I've always been driven to be a helper and healer. In undergraduate school, I enjoyed the psychology courses and couldn't stop taking more. Eventually, I was able to intern at a facility with youth needing real help, and being able to see how they changed and improved pushed me to go to graduate school for counseling.
