Tia Coleman, LPC

Tia Coleman, LPC

Psychotherapist
VA
I am a licensed professional counselor in Virginia. I have worked as a therapist for six years, most of those years serving children and families in the community. I studied at Marymount University, where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Counseling. I have experience working with children, their families, and individuals in outpatient services who are struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use, trauma, conduct disorders, anger, parent-child relationships, grief, personality disorders, and bipolar disorders. I utilize CBT, MI, family therapy, behavioral therapy, person-centered, and strengths-based therapy approaches to help clients recognize the unique contexts that impact their lives, connect with their strengths, and learn new ways to live in wholeness. I am welcoming, empathic, and create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can learn, grow, and achieve their goals. I enjoy the work I do and am proud to support those in need.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
