Getting to know Tim Flaharty
As a therapist, connection and understanding are two goals that I strive to meet to assist you in reaching your therapy goals. Learning your story and who you are is the most exciting aspect of therapy and essential for meaningful change. When we have a better understanding of who you are, we can then use techniques to address the concerns that brought you to therapy.
I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. For the last five years, I have worked as a licensed clinical counselor in the state of California. During that time, I have worked in a variety of settings. Personally, working with those who struggle with anxiety has been the most exciting and fulfilling part of my practice.
What should a new client know about working with you?
Understood, that is what I hope my clients will feel after meeting with me after the initial session. The groundwork for all progress in a therapeutic relationship is for my clients to feel that they have been heard and understood. From that point, we may work together to address whatever area of life may be bothering you.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
