I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Purdue University Northwest in 1985 and my Master's degree in social work from Loyola University Chicago in 1989. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working in various fields, including child welfare, juvenile justice, and as a school social worker. I've worked with individuals across all age groups, from children to seniors, and my most recent experience has been in private practice. In my practice, I use a psychodynamic approach to treatment. This means that I focus on understanding your relationships and personal history to help you navigate and resolve current difficulties, particularly those involving your relationships with others and yourself. I believe that by exploring these areas, we can uncover patterns and insights that lead to meaningful change and personal growth. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with ADHD, Borderline Personality Disorder, family relationships, gender identity issues, grief and bereavement, LGBTQIA+ support, spirituality, trauma, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, depression, and anger management.
