My name is Tim Mayer. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience. I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Lesley College. My approach I am a person-centered therapist focusing on Third Wave therapies, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, DBT, and Mindfulness-Based CBT. My focus I work with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, and other life challenges. My journey to mental healthcare I started as an Outward Bound Instructor working with at-risk teens. After earning my master’s degree, I worked as a therapist and program director for several mental health and substance abuse programs.
