Getting to know Tina Davidson-Guest

I am a licensed clinical social worker serving clients in Tennessee and Illinois. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Tennessee State University. My approach to therapy is client-centered, focusing on meeting clients where their present needs are in life. My technique is ingrained in social work values that support improving clients' lives, treating them with dignity, acknowledging the significance of human relationships, and providing competent care to meet their psychotherapeutic needs. The therapeutic approaches I use are primarily cognitive, humanistic, and psychoanalytic. I typically work with young adults, older adults, and seniors who may need support with conflicts arising in personality development, psychological needs, and their social environment. Clients who have experienced narcissistic personality disorder in all aspects of their relationships are my focus population. My personal and professional experiences support a holistic, nonjudgmental approach to the helping process, guided by clairsentience. In my communication style, I emphasize empathy and unconditional positive regard. I create a space of open communication through active and reflective listening, emotional intelligence, and cultural awareness to ensure effective communication. Throughout my studies and practice in clinical social work, I have found that people need to be heard. Being a good listener has been a natural ability I have developed over the years. Meeting clients where they are is most effective, as they know their needs best and are aware of what feels right for them. I am drawn to the therapeutic process that naturally heals the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors clients wish to explore and develop in conditions conducive to therapeutic change.
