Getting to know Tina Gillems
Hello! My name is Tina Gillems, LCSW. I have been providing therapeutic services since 2014 and am currently licensed in Florida and New Jersey. I have over 17 years of experience working with children and families, adults and children within the community, child welfare, individual and family therapy, case management, and medical social work. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Florida Southern College, where I was a former collegiate athlete and semi-pro basketball player. I completed my Master's in Social Work at Barry University. I have worked within the juvenile and adult justice systems, with the LGBTQ population and their families, children and adults with mental health challenges, those who have aged out of foster care, and others in the community. I have supported clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, domestic violence, and many more. I will treat your experience as your own, even if I have worked with clients facing similar concerns. I like to use evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Each case is individualized to fit your needs.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
