My focus I work with adolescents, adults, and couples who struggle with anxiety, depression, crisis and trauma, grief and loss, self-esteem and personal growth, relationship issues, and life transitions. My approach My therapeutic approach utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Existential/Humanistic, Solution-Focused, Family Systems, and Christian-based therapy. These modalities help you challenge unhelpful thoughts, explore meaning, find practical solutions, and understand relationship patterns. My communication style I create a safe, calm environment where you can feel heard and understood. My clients say that I am open, and it is easy to talk with me about anything that is on their mind. I can be discerning and directive, challenging you with your thoughts. My journey to mental healthcare At a very early age, I knew I wanted to help people. I found the mind intriguing and learned that we have the ability to tell our brains what is true and false. I am driven to do this work because there is more need today than ever before, and the stigma of therapy is fading. My goals for you I collaboratively create a treatment plan with two goals, perhaps to increase or decrease something. These goals come from the symptoms that you are experiencing.
