Getting to know Tina White

Do you feel weighed down in your daily life by anxiety, depression, or low self-esteem? Have you experienced past trauma or abuse that is negatively affecting your relationships and daily life? Together, we can work on strategies to heal and recover from past trauma, cope with difficult emotions more effectively, increase self-esteem, and feel more in control of your life and relationships. I utilize a strengths-based, non-judgmental approach that integrates various modalities and evidence-based practices to help adults of all ages learn healthier ways to cope with life stressors, past abuse or trauma, reduce negative symptoms, and understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. With a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois, Chicago, my experience, training, and approach are especially helpful for survivors of trauma, life transitions, psychological distress, and identity issues.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The first question I often ask is ""How will you know when you reach your therapy goals""? What will be different? I am very intentional in helping clients to define therapy goals and develop a ""roadmap"" to get there. I often use worksheets and information each session to directly address the underlying issues that brought them to therapy. My approach will help you manage symptoms, function in healthier ways and increase natural support and skills so that therapy is no longer needed.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
