Getting to know Tom O'Neill

Are your parts running the show? Wounded, furious, fearful parts...we all have them, but wouldn't our lives and relationships run more smoothly and be more fulfilling if we oriented from our essential selves? As a Naropa-trained, Contemplative psychotherapist, I will work with you to foster such a shift...as a good first step before coming into meaningful and integrative relationship with your parts. Each part arises out of your specific history with its unique set of social, cultural, and familial conditions. In the movement to wholeness, our work together is to invite in your parts, be with their expressions, hear them, see them, hold them in compassion and understanding, so that we might cultivate the kind of internal trust that facilitates real healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in talk therapy, in how sharing challenging emotions eases their power and allows you to relax into a fuller sense of self. In my practice I tend toward transparency, often sharing what I am seeing and formulating as an invitation for you to have a strong voice in your process. My style is warm, sincere, and often playful. I seek to create a compassionate space in which you can explore, understand, and transform your life.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
