Treatment will be tailored, with flexibility, to help make positive change, checking in along the way to see how you're feeling about how things are going. My goals are to help you feel understood, empowered, and more resilient. My focus I work with individuals, adults, and adolescents experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, and life challenges. Together, we will build a plan to empower and cope, while addressing circumstances, struggles, and uncomfortable feelings. I will provide support and guidance with empathy and understanding. My communication style Through attentive, relaxed, down to earth conversation, I create a supportive, empathic, validating space for you to freely share and reflect on your experiences. We will focus on your strengths, needs, and goals as we sift through and process experiences and emotions. My journey to mental healthcare My journey as a therapist began early, as a peer counselor in high school, helping other students cope with traumas and life issues. I loved working with others, helping build resilience, and being a part of the healing process. Since then, I have provided care at schools, hospitals and clinics, seeing the power of "a little help along the way." My goals for you Together, we will set manageable, realistic goals, create a "toolbox" of coping skills, along with an immediate and longer term supportive plan. As we go along, and new insights are gained, we will adapt your plan to meet new needs.
