Tracee Couch, LMFT

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Tracee! Hello, my name is Tracee Couch, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 14 years of experience. I earned my Bachelor's degree and Master's in Counseling from California State University, Northridge. My approach can be eclectic, combining different interventions to customize something that works for you. I work mostly with clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, conflict in relationships, sexual abuse, and trauma. My approach The most common approaches I use are CBT-based, trauma-focused, supportive, and solution-focused. My focus Typically, I enjoy working with older teens (age 16 and up) and adults. On occasion, I will work with couples and parent/child duos. I'm very comfortable with trauma-based issues, including physical and sexual trauma, depression, anxiety, and PTSD. My communication style Working with me should feel comfortable, yet uncomfortable. The therapeutic relationship is important to me and can really help you reach your goals if trust is built. I am open-minded and will hear you, see you, and respect you. I'm also very direct and will call you out on self-sabotaging behaviors or patterns. Let's break that cycle! My goals for you This is up to you and what your expectations are in therapy. We will work together to come up with goals to help you get to where you would like to be. My first session with you Eh, it's not the most exciting first session. I'll go over paperwork and do an intake to get a better idea of what brings you to session. The real work begins once the intake is done.
