Hi there, I'm Tracey Nicole! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida with 20 years of experience working with all populations across the lifespan, ages 5-99. I use a Rogerian approach to therapy, meaning the therapeutic relationship is everything. My approach I provide unconditional positive regard, Person-Centered, and Strengths-based therapy blended with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques. My focus I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and seniors with adjustment issues, grief/loss, perinatal, postpartum and loss support, ADHD, trauma/PTSD, divorce, depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, academic difficulties, self-esteem issues, caregiver support, parenting support, marital conflict, couples therapy, family therapy, and difficult behaviors in children. My communication style I create a safe space for clients to share their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a non-judgmental, supportive, and positive environment. My journey to mental healthcare My grandmother committed suicide when I was 9, and my parents and I found her. She was my favorite grandmother, and I was devastated and traumatized. I never received therapy as a child and am passionate about children having the opportunity to tell their stories. I pursued a Bachelor's and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Radford University. After six years of college, I completed three years as an intern under a licensed supervisor while working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital. I obtained my LCSW in December 2005 and have been a Qualified Supervisor since 2013. I have worked with all populations, including seniors, adults, adolescents, and children, in settings such as nursing homes, assisted living and independent living facilities, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment facilities, community mental health, and employee assistance programs.
