What should a new client know about working with you?

I desire to assist you in whatever stage of your journey you find yourself needing assistance. If you struggle to gain positive coping skills for managing your emotions and triggers, anxieties, grief, or if you need to focus on working through trauma, past or present, we will work together to help you move forward in your journey. I offer active listening with positive regard during sessions, which includes reflective discussion to ensure I fully understand the information you share. I focus on and offer clear, concise communication to assist you in achieving your goals.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

As we meet and get to know each other, I will ask specific questions to gain an understanding of your decision to begin therapy. We will discuss your goals and treatment modalities that may fit your specific needs, and I will share a bit about myself with you. Building a positive connection with you is my goal as a therapist. I believe positive rapport is most important for achieving positive outcomes. Feeling somewhat nervous before beginning the therapeutic journey is quite natural. It is my goal to offer you a safe and comfortable space to express yourself and to be yourself as we work together.
