Getting to know Tyesha Sullivan

Hi there, I'm Tyesha! Welcome! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California. Therapy is my passion! I find joy in assisting individuals and couples through life's challenges to help them become their best selves. I earned my Master's in Counseling from the University of Phoenix, equipping me with the skills to support my clients effectively. My approach I am a Psychodynamic therapist but eclectic in my approach. I tailor sessions to each client's individuality. My style is warm and friendly. I use interventions from Cognitive Behavioral, Client Centered, Narrative, and Existential therapies. I focus on getting to the core of the issue and increasing self-awareness. I believe understanding where the issue started and knowing oneself is key to healing and moving forward. My focus I have experience with concerns ranging from Dissociation to Depression. Trauma and Abuse are main areas of focus, along with Anxiety and Self-Esteem. My communication style My communication style is relaxed and down-to-earth. I provide a safe environment where you can express your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Together, we will process those thoughts and emotions to begin your healing journey. My journey to therapy My passion comes from my own life experiences. Growing up in an emotionally and psychologically abusive household, and enduring other forms of abuse, I have a unique understanding of effects like depression, anxiety, and self-image issues. What drives me is helping others heal and see the light on the other side. It is possible to be a ?whole person? despite this history. My goals for you Clients complete a Therapy Goals Worksheet after the first session, giving them the chance to process and identify their needs.
